Continuing Education Requirements

The North Carolina Real Estate Commission requires 8 hours of Continuing Education annually by JUNE 10th.

The REQUIRED 2008-2009 Real Estate Mandatory Update Course ( 4 hours) and an Elective course (4 hours).

*BICAR (Broker-in-Charge Annual Review) is a required elective course for all BIC. This new requirement as of July 1, 2006 requires that a BIC does not have a CE elective option after the first renewal of his or her license following BIC designation! The BIC 8 hours of continuing education is always: Mandatory Update and Broker-in-Charge Annual Review. However once this requirement is met, the BIC may also take additional electives exceeding the required courses. All BICS and "BIC eligible" licensees must take the BIC Annual Review course (BICAR) along with the Mandatory Update every year!  Licensees must be BICS or "BIC eligible" in order to take this course.  Administrative personnel may attend this class but only those who are BIC Eligible may receive credit for this required elective for all BIC. To check if you are BIC Eligible sign in to the NCREC website at http://www.ncrec.state.nc.us

Registration Before Class is Required. Walk-ins are welcome as space permits. There is an additional $10.00 per class walk-in fee. Registration is complete when credit card has been charged or check has been received.
